The project
The Wales Systems Forum website brings together a blog, a searchable collection of resources and a way to share upcoming events. Visitors can switch languages to explore the site in the language that works for them.
Design & Mockups
This project marked my first attempt at creating a full website mockup in Figma. Designing high-fidelity mockups for every page upfront made the design phase far more collaborative and efficient - allowing stakeholders to explore concepts, provide feedback, and align on layout and content structure before writing any code.
Initial Build & Process
Following the mockup stage, I translated the designs into a working website. Below is an earlier build of the landing page created during the development process before applying the final round of polish and refinements.
Building it
I implemented custom language switching and rich-text blogging, alongside tools for adding resources and sorting them by tags. I also built event editing and added a mailing list subscription option.
What I learned
This project gave me the chance to make design suggestions and deepen my understanding of CSS styles and animations, while working through multilingual content and mailing list integration.
